Wenworthville progressed to the decider with a 22-18 win over Asquith, at Ringrose Park.
In the opening round of the tournament, Asquith defeated Wyong 20-12 at Cessnock Sports Ground, on February 9.
Normally, that would see Wyong exit the competition at the first hurdle.
But the Magpies - who boasted nine players from the North Sydney Bears NSW Cup squad - were not able to contest the Round 2 match, and so Wyong was given a reprieve, and Asquith subsequently rejoined the tournament.
The Roos went on to defeat 2018 champions Dubbo CYMS 24-8, and Cabramatta 26-18, to progress to the final four.
The 2019 champions, Guildford Owls, were taken down 28-12 by Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles.
The NSW Challenge Cup featured 18 teams this year, with more than $30,000 in prize money up for grabs.
The cup winner will score $15,000.
