The BBQ for Boobs campaign is simple.
"Together with HBCF's principle sponsor, peoplefusion, we are asking businesses in the Hunter region to support our boobs, or rather to support our endeavour to raise much-needed funds to support those who are living with breast cancer," a spokesperson for HBCF said.
"The idea is to encourage local businesses to host a barbecue for their staff and colleagues. Staff are then encouraged to donate what they would normally spend on lunch to the HBCF."
About 600 people in the Hunter are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.
All funds raised through the barbecues will assist locals who have cancer, and their families, to deal with the disease. Funds can go towards things like cleaning, shopping services and wig hire.
Workplaces (or other groups) who register to host an event will receive a 'Super Booby BBQ Kit' with all the barbecue essentials such as a pink apron, a chef's hat, pink balloons, pink serviettes, a tea towel and a fundraising tin.
Workplaces simply supply the barbecue, snags, sauce and bread.
Participants could also win a Weber Baby Q valued at $340 for their workplace.
To enter, share snaps of your team in their HBCF and peoplefusion BBQ getup to Facebook or Instagram, tag @hunterbcf @peoplefusionrecruitment and hashtag #bbq4boobs for your chance to win.
