The changed traffic conditions on the Pacific Highway at Swansea will be implemented to facilitate biannual inspections and maintenance on the bridge.
Roads and Maritime Services will carry out the work from Monday, May 13.
Works will involve inspecting and testing the electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components and emergency systems.
To minimise impact to motorists, work will be carried out from 7pm to 5am and is expected to be completed in three shifts, weather permitting.
Skippers are advised the bridge will not be open for marine traffic at night while work is carried out.
The southbound bridge will be closed on Monday night and the northbound bridge will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
One bridge will remain open at all times with one lane operating in each direction.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40kph will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
