Southlake Community Services is hosting the event that will see young participants engage in a range of team building and personal challenge activities over the 7km course that includes obstacles, climbs, water and mud.
It will be held on Wednesday, April 17.
It's just one of the events on the Youth Week program across Lake Macquarie.
The week is for young people to share ideas, attend live events, and showcase their talents in a range of fields.
This year, Lake Macquarie City Council is supporting eight Youth Week events across the city from April 10 to 18.
The events are designed to give local young people a platform to express their ideas and views, act on issues that affect their lives and, most importantly, enjoy themselves.
Council's community services manager, Andrew Bryant, said the nine-day program included a wide range of activities, from live events and creative workshops to sporting and fitness activities.
"Youth Week encourages young people to showcase their talents, celebrate their contribution to the community, and have fun," Mr Bryant said.
It also promotes and encourages the active involvement of 12- to 24-year-olds in the coordination of activities that increase community awareness of young people and the issues important to them.
Other Youth Week events in the city include an open mic session for musicians and street art workshop at Pasterfield Sports Complex, at Cameron Park, on Saturday, April 13, and a self-empowerment and wellness expo at Belmont Neighbourhood Centre on Monday, April 15.
