The refurbishment is the fifth in Lake Macquarie City Council's 2019/2020 library refit program.
The program has been rolled out at Charlestown, Speers Point, Belmont and Toronto libraries.
"New shelving, painting and other improvements for our customers' experience at the site will be undertaken during the temporary closure," a spokesperson for the council said.
"While Morisset Library is undergoing improvements, items can still be returned through the after-hours return chute."
To assist customers, the Rover mobile service will be located outside Morisset Library from 10am to noon on:
- Wednesday, April 1;
- Saturday, April 4; and
- Wednesday, April 8.
"You can also renew your items online or by contacting other library branches during operating hours," the spokesperson said.
"All eCollections will be available during the closure.
"A community book nook will also be installed outside Morisset Library during the temporary closure."
All other Lake Mac Libraries will be open during this period, including the Toronto and Wangi Wangi branches.
