Responding to Toronto's first innings total of 172, University reached the target for the loss of just two wickets.
University's opening batsman Joseph Hart (59 not out) and No.3 batsman Andrew Harriott (78) combined for a 112-run partnership to end any hopes Toronto had of taking early wickets and putting a scare into the home team's middle order.
On Sunday, the Kookaburras were no match for the Rosellas (Wests) in the city's T20 Summer Bash match at Harker Oval.
The Kookaburras made 5-93 from their 20 overs. The Rosellas chased down the target in the ninth over, reaching 2-96. Openers Joe Price (20) and Aaron Wivell (60 not out off 29 balls) did the damage.
Toronto will host Hamilton-Wickham in a two-day game starting this Saturday.
