That's when the Swim with the Stars clinic will arrive at Speers Point Swim Centre.
There are still a few vacancies for young swimmers to register and take part in the clinic.
Australian representative swimmers Bradley Woodward, Matt Wilson and Meg Bailey will put the young swimmers through their paces.
The young swimmers will receive expert advice from the Aussie trio, as well as coaches, physios and dietitians.
The champion trio will share their training techniques and experiences to help young swimmers improve their race-day performance and reach their full potential.
The clinic will also feature sessions with national swim team coach and physiotherapist, Adam Kable.
Session topics throughout the day will include:
- freestyle technique and turns;
- managing energy levels for school and training;
- backstroke technique and underwater skills;
- breaststroke technique and turns; and
- butterfly technique and dives.
An afternoon Q and A with Woodward, Wilson and Bailey will cover how they manage nerves, what they eat on race day, how they stay motivated and how they balanced school and training.
The Swim with the Stars clinic is run by Lake Macquarie City Council.
Registrations for the clinic are still open.
The clinic is aimed at swimmers aged 15 and younger who are at district level or above in their swimming abilities.
The cost is $150 per child.
The clinic will run from 8am to 4.30pm.
