Lake Mac Parkrun provides a 5km run every Saturday at 8am.
It's held at 1a First St, Booragul, opposite Booragul Primary School and the best part about it is that it's a free event for people to improve fitness and participate in a community-minded event.
Participants need to only register once and then bring a printed copy of their barcode in order to receive a running time at completion.
Joggers, runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate and for those keen to run right through Christmas and New Year, there is an event for that.
The December 21 event will feature a special visit from Santa.
Then for those who are keen to get active before the Christmas lunch comes out, a run will be held on December 25 and another on December 28. Those events each start at 8am.
Participants looking to start the New Year on the right foot can take part in the January 1 Parkrun to be held at 7.30am.
