Cardinal George Pell gets a visit in prison from former prime minister Tony Abbott, while Julian Assange fights his removal to the USA.
The moral of the story here in the United States Of Australia, is that Australian pedophiles get better treatment than Australian-USA whistle-blowers.

Turn the other cheek
I wonder if Rugby Australia realises that if they had totally ignored Israel Folau's controversial media posts, then he probably would have led the Australian rugby team to victory at no uncommon cost to Rugby Australia?
For those who disagreed with his post, nobody outside the rugby circle and Mr Folau's circle of followers would ever have heard of him his or his beliefs.
Now we hear his name almost every day while he heads to the bank with his multi-millions of dollars.
A bit of a Pyrrhic victory methinks.

An update for Christmas
All we want for Christmas is an update.
It has been almost three months since lake Macquarie City Council's decision to listen to the community and defer the six-storey development on the Bath Street, Toronto site but the silent days and silent nights since are quite unsettling.
While informal requests have been sought from community representatives, no information has been forthcoming.
A formal request for an update by Cr Harrison in a general business item on November 25 has not produced any information either.
Is this is just a stalling tactic until the local government elections?
When the original decision to progress a multi-storey development on the Bath Street site was made back in 2018 the surveyors were out on site the next day measuring up - yet the community has been waiting now for almost three months to find out what council's defer decision actually means.
We know the master-planning process is continuing, what we don't know is how the Bath Street site is being included in this process but it will be a waste of resources if the master-planning process has to be duplicated.
The community has a right to know what is happening, we want to trust our council and the process, to do that we need to know what is going on.
On behalf of the Toronto Foreshore Protection Group, we thank everyone for their enthusiasm and participation in the process and hope you get out and enjoy our amazing little waterfront over the summer.

Visitors left flying high
A beautiful sunny day spread across Marks Point and Pelican.
Here was the home of the World Champion pylon racer Matt Hall of Red Bull fame.
This aviation centre offers a new world of opportunity for the aviation-minded adventurer.
Leading the way is this fine Australian who has brought great credit to himself, his community and his nation through his superb airmanship.
This former F/A-18 Hornet fighter pilot has generated notoriety of the most positive kind, supported by a team of highly motivated and skilled personnel.
To be able to stand on the winner's dais, edging out the best of the best gives new meaning to this fiercest of Red Bull duels.Well done Matt Hall.
You are a credit to all things positive.
