A woman was injured when she was kicked in the chest by a horse on a property in Wyong Creek this afternoon.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter is at the rural property assisting local NSW Ambulance paramedics treat the 30-year-old woman.

"With the assistance of the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team the female will be stabilised on scene before being flown direct to the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle," a spokesperson for the helicopter service said.
