The community pre-school and early education centre, in Bridge Street, threw open its doors after work and invited locals to take a look inside.
Manager Rebecca Buckley said the 28-place centre catered for children aged six weeks to six years.
"The open day is a good opportunity for families to talk to the staff, and it's also a chance for new families who are considering enrolling to have a look at what we do," Ms Buckley said.
Among the popular attractions on the day was the Sweet Valley Baby Animals petting zoo, face painting, temporary tattoo stall and an array of art and craft tables.
