Man charged over broken lounge in Cooranbong
A 58-year-old Central Coast man has been fined $2,000 by Lake Macquarie City Council for illegally dumping a broken and dirty lounge at a charity collection location at Cooranbong. Hunter/Central Coast Regional Illegal Dumping (RID) Squad coordinator Rob Robertson said charity collection points were not for dropping off broken and unusable items. Charities spent hundreds of thousands of dollars each year disposing of waste material illegally dumped outside their bins and collection points, he said.
Motorists alerted to more changes around M1 upgrade
MOTORISTS are advised of more changes to traffic conditions on the M1 Pacific Motorway upgrade between Tuggerah and Doyalson interchanges. On Monday, November 18, southbound motorists will be shifted west onto new permanent lanes for about 500 metres, just north of the St Johns Road bridge. On Wednesday, November 20, the Sparks Road exit ramp will be moved about 300 metres north of the existing temporary exit. Work to prepare for the changes will also take place on weeknights.

Photograph of model
THE Lakes Mail published a photograph last week of a model in a story about photographic workshops to be held by photographer Carla Edwards at the Time Out festival in Morisset. The model will attend the festival to be photographed by participants in Ms Edwards' workshops. But the published image was taken by, and belongs to, Nineteen79 Photography, not Ms Edwards. Nineteen79 Photography said they had no affiliation with Ms Edwards.
