multimedia, photos-and-video, Lake Macquarie U3A, University of the Third Age, Teralba, Bohemian Rhapsody, Freddie Mercury
IT was the Queen classic everyone knows, Bohemian Rhapsody, but it was covered like never before. The orchestra from Lake Macquarie University of the Third Age took on Freddie Mercury's epic tune at the U3A group's annual Carnivale on Wednesday. And the full house at Teralba Community Hall loved it. The orchestra, conducted by Angela Finney, earlier performed a Lord of the Rings medley, and Rock Hopping. The variety concert also featured performances by the ukulele group, the recorder class, and the choir. Lake Macquarie U3A will perform a variety concert, including dancing, at Warners Bay Performing Arts Centre on Thursday, November 28, from 1pm. Phone 0490 367 591.
