Your ingenuity could win you prizes such as a fully installed water tank up to the value of $10,000.
Hunter Water has partnered with ABC Newcastle for the Water Warriors campaign.
From Monday, November 4, three selected households will team up with ABC Newcastle program hosts for a four-week competition to complete a series of challenges.
The household that saves the greatest percentage of water wins.
Second prize is a kit of water efficiency devices to suit your home up to the value of $5000. Third prize is $500 of water-saving devices.
ABC Newcastle chief of staff Lucia Hill said the campaign welcomed participants from all corners of the Hunter who come up with "creative and imaginative ways of saving water".
Hunter Water's acting CEO Graham Wood said the campaign was a great way to explore simple water-saving techniques that we could all implement at home.
"As we experience very warm and dry conditions, it's now more important than ever that we use water wisely and conserve it wherever we can," Mr Wood said.
Visit abc.net.au/radio/newcastle/ to nominate your household to become one of the three selected families to go into the final challenge.
Nominations close this Thursday, October 31.
A panel comprising ABC Newcastle management and Hunter Water representatives will determine the winning family.
