The Entertainment Grounds, at Gosford Race Club, will host the all-star line-up of Ross Wilson, Daryl Braithwaite, Wendy Matthews, Richard Clapton, 1927, Dragon, Pseudo Echo, Mi-Sex, Steve Kilbey and Matt Finish.
There won't be any racing on the day, just back-to-back Aussie rock hits from the 1980s and 1990s.
Expect to hear enduring favourites such as April Sun in Cuba and Rain by Dragon, Funkytown and A Beat for You by Pseudo Echo, and Wendy Matthews' Let's Kiss, Token Angels and The Day You Went Away.
The memories will come flooding back when Richard Clapton revisits Girls on the Avenue, Capricorn Dancer and Deep Water.
And fans of 1927, who haven't heard the band for years, will be transported back to 1988 when they hear That's When I Think of You, If I Could, and Compulsory Hero.
And speaking of 1988, that's when Steve Kilbey and The Church released their moody anthem Under the Milky Way.
Remember Matt Finish and their 1981 single Short Note?
The original lead singer of Mi-Sex, the much-loved Steve Gilpin passed away in 1992, but in Steve Balbi (formerly of Noiseworks) the band has unleashed a charismatic new vocalist who brings an incredible energy to the band's hits such as Computer Games, Falling In and Out, and But You Don't Care.
Daryl Braithwaite shot to mega-stardom in the 1970s with his band Sherbet who had big hits with songs such as Howzat and Summer Love. He then found a new audience as a solo artist, in the 80s and 90s, with songs such as The Horses, One Summer and As The Days Go By.
Former Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock front man, Ross Wilson, will bring the show home with a set that is sure to include his monster hits including Eagle Rock, Come Back Again, Cool World, Chemistry, State of the Heart and Come Said the Boy.
Rock at the Races is at The Entertainment Grounds, Gosford, on Saturday, October 26. Tickets cost $99. Gates open at 1.30pm, with the music to start at 3pm.
