The bridge will be closed to allow survey and coring work. Motorists may be stopped for up to five minutes.
One lane will be operating under stop/go control with alternating traffic in both directions on the bridge from 8.30pm on Tuesday to 4.30am on Wednesday, October 9, weather permitting.
A 40kph speed limit will be in place on Sparks Road near the bridge.
The existing 80kph speed limit will remain in place on the M1 Pacific Motorway for the Tuggerah-to-Doyalson upgrade.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
