The Morisset mother of three who was earlier this year crowned Ms Australia International was last week nominated by her "sash sisters" as a top four finalist in the awards in the Charity Queen of the Year category, recognising her work with the homeless and drought-stricken farmers.
"I put my heart and soul into helping our homeless friends and farmer families and to know that I have been nominated and made the top four for Charity Queen of The Year by those in the pageant industry truly means the world to me," Ms Fleming said.
"It can be a very demanding role at times and to know that my hard work has been recognised by others is very humbling. Its an affirmation and shows people appreciate what I do but I must say, I feel it is not my individual accomplishment.
"I feel it's a team effort with my children, friends and our community members. They have supported my journey and helped raise funds and gifted donations so I am able to continue to help our farmer families and homeless friends."
Ms Fleming founded Homeless Donations NSW Inc in 2013 after finding herself homeless for a short time in 2007. She runs the charity with her three children - two of whom are teenagers.
In the lead up to the Ms Australia International final in March, Ms Fleming staged 14 events to raise funds and awareness of homeless people and struggling farmers.
Australian Golden Sash Award winners will be announced at a red carpet event in Sydney on Saturday. The awards are aimed at showcasing Australian beauty queens who have made the most outstanding contribution to the pageant industry during the year.
Ms Fleming said she hoped that by being nominated in the awards, she could spread awareness about her causes even further.
"This nomination... allows me to connect with more people, and hopefully help our vulnerable souls in our community on a larger scale, which in return creates positive change."
