MACQUARIE Scorpions will take on Maitland in the Newcastle Rugby League match at Lyall Peacock Field, Toronto, this Saturday.

It will be Macquarie's last home game of the season, and the club will honour its former players with an Old Boys Day.

Macquarie hopes to welcome several players back from injury, and to spring an upset against the third-place Pickers.

Macquarie will auction specially-made jerseys at Toronto Workers Club after the game.

The final round of the regular season will see Macquarie take on premiership front-runners Wests.

Ladder: Wests 24, Souths 18, Maitland 14, Cessnock 13, Central 13, Kurri Kurri 12, Lakes 10, Macquarie 8.

IN Central Coast rugby league, Wyong posted a 94-nil win over Northern Lakes at Doyalson on Sunday.

The Warriors are struggling for players, and were forced to call on under-18 and open age players to field a team in the top grade.

Wyong will host Kincumber in the Round 17 match at Morry Breen Field, Kanwal, on Sunday.

Kick off is at 2.30pm.

Wyong leads the race for the minor premiership, and will face Erina in the final round.
