THE Pacific Highway is now closed in both directions at Catherine Hill Bay following a serious two-car crash at the intersection with Cams Wharf Road and Flowers Drive.
The crash investigation unit is on site, along with emergency services and traffic crews.
Northbound traffic is now being diverted at Wyee Road in Doyalson via the western side of Lake Macquarie.
Southbound traffic continues to be diverted into Flowers Drive, however this is not suitable for B-doubles.
Buses in both directions are being diverted with a number of stops being missed.

THE Pacific Highway is closed southbound at Catherine Hill Bay following a serious two-car crash at the intersection with Cams Wharf Road and Flowers Drive.
Southbound traffic is being diverted into Flowers Drive, however this is not suitable for B-doubles.
Southbound buses are being diverted via Flowers Drive, Clarke Street and Montefiore Street, missing nine stops.
Two northbound lanes are also closed, however traffic is slowly moving past the crash site.
Emergency services and traffic crews are on site, with the crash investigation unit also attending.
All motorists should consider using the M1 Pacific Motorway as an alternative.
