Sebastian Longworth-Wells, 6, was voted the winner of the annual Mother's Day pendant design competition hosted by Kadia Jewellery, of Toronto.
Kaylene Fitzpatrick, of Kadia Jewellery, said the store selected winners from seven schools in the Toronto area, and the public then voted for their favourite overall design.
"We then make this wonderful creation for our winner to gift to his or her mother, or significant person in their lives," she said.
Sebastian's mum, Keira Wells, said she was stunned by Sebastian's creativity.
"Especially considering that he's only six," she said.
"It's so beautiful, and something that I can keep forever."
Ms Fitzpatrick said the sterling-silver pendant featured red outer hearts around a gold centred heart. It was valued at about $700, she said.
