The event will be held in Mont Sainte-Anne, Canada, from August 28 to September 1. Australia currently has seven riders across both disciplines ranked in the top 20 in the world.
This is the third time MSA has hosted the World Championships, and around 700 athletes are expected to converge on the famed ski and mountain bike resort.
Toronto Croquet Club singles
TORONTO Croquet Club recently held its open golf croquet singles championships, with 12 entrants vying for the title at Ron Hill Oval. Greg Burnes and Kevin Parkes progressed to the final match, with Burnes triumphing on the day. Games were played in two seeded blocks, with five rounds played on the Saturday, and the winner of each block progressing to matches on the Monday.
Wyong Roos at Doyalson
WYONG Roos will travel to Doyalson Sporting Fields this Sunday to take on Northern Lakes in their Round 16 match of Central Coast Rugby League. Kick off is at 2.30pm. Wyong leads the race for the minor premiership, with 27 points, one point clear of The Entrance with three rounds to play before the semi-finals.
Golfer flying to South Carolina
LAKE Macquarie golfer Jye Pickin,18, flies to South Carolina next week for the start of a golf scholarship at Division One college. "I'm really looking forward to it," Pickin said. "It's going to be an awesome experience. The facilities are crazy."
