Starting this Wednesday (July 24), motorists will be diverted onto new lanes at two locations southbound, and one location northbound.
To prepare for these changes, night work is being carried out northbound from 8pm to 6am Sundays to Thursdays, and from 10pm to 6am on Fridays.
Work is also being carried out southbound on Sundays from 9pm to 4am, Mondays to Thursdays from 7.30pm to 4am, and Fridays from 9pm to 6am.
"The first diversion will take place southbound from 500 metres north of the Doyalson Link Road overpass to 500 metres south of the Warnervale interchange, for five kilometres, from early on Wednesday morning, weather permitting," a spokesperson for Roads and Maritime Services said.
"The second diversion will take place southbound from early morning on Thursday, July 25, for around 2.5 kilometres from south of the Warnervale interchange to just south of the southbound service centre, weather permitting.
"After traffic is diverted in the southbound lanes, work will be carried out to prepare for northbound traffic to be diverted for five kilometres, with motorists moved to the right from just past the northbound service centre to just north of the Doyalson interchange."
Northbound motorists will be diverted in the early hours of Tuesday morning, August 1, weather permitting.
