Some 3000 athletes, coaches and spectators are expected at the venue as clubs from around NSW vie for top honours.
"We've always attended with our artistic gymnasts but this year we have a first ever squad of rhythmic gymnasts (who compete with ball, hoop, ribbon, and clubs)," Advance Academy founder Nance Foster said.
"These girls are super excited as we are the only rhythmic club in Lake Macqaurie - the nearest others being Umina PCYC and Forster Gymnastics, in Forster."
The championships start on Wednesday, and continue until Sunday.
The rhythmic gymnasts will compete over the weekend.
