Blacksmiths Beachside Holiday Park, part of the Lake Mac Holiday Parks group, was announced this week as a finalist in the 'Caravan and Holiday Parks' category of the 2019 Regional Tourism Awards.
Holiday parks coordinator, Garry Ellem, said the awards recognised excellence in the industry, with the holiday parks category focusing on facilities and services on offer.
"The 2018-2019 financial year has been a year of transformation for the Lake Mac Holiday Parks group," Mr Ellem said.
"We've seen the continued expansion of our activities programs, improved communication with guests, a new website launched and the introduction of our first dog-friendly cabin.
"We are very proud of the work of our Blacksmiths team. They consistently demonstrate a steadfast, passionate focus on customer service and a desire to keep improving the site.
"The introduction of a dog-friendly cabin means visitors can take their four-legged friends on holidays with them and enjoy the convenience and comfort of one of our beachside cabins.
"Making it to the finals of these awards is recognition of the hard work of our team and the consistently high standard of the venue," Mr Ellem said.
Winners, to be announced at a ceremony in Newcastle on July 29, will be entered as finalists in the NSW State Tourism Awards.
Blacksmiths Beachside is rated 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor and has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence for the past four years.
