The function will be a fundraiser for Cure Blindness Australia, and its research into a cure for the eye disease retinitis pigmentosa (RP).
Rotarian Sue Jansson said RP was an eye disease that could strike a member of any family.
"The individual is born with it, and there needs to be no family history. There is no cure or treatment and it leads to a progressive loss of vision causing blindness."
The Rotary club will host the event on Saturday, July 20, starting with dinner at 6.30pm.
Tickets cost $60 and include a two-course Christmas dinner, music by The Rattlesnakes, dancing and a glass of bubbles on arrival.
For tickets phone Sue Jansson (0402 828 180) or Pam Lewis (0400 328 143).
