The changed traffic conditions are required as Roads and Maritime Services carries out road improvements near the intersection with Douglass Street.
"Work includes rebuilding and widening a 600-metre section of Wangi Road, installing safety barriers on both sides of the road, and new line marking," a spokesperson for RMS said.
Work will start on Sunday, June 2, and be carried out from 6pm to 5am, Sundays to Thursdays, for four weeks, weather permitting.
"Some additional work will be carried out during the day. This work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm, from Monday to Friday, and between 8am and 1pm on Saturdays," the spokesperson said.
"For the safety of motorists and workers, lane closures and a 40kph speed limit will be in place during work hours."
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
Roads and Maritime Services thanked motorists for their patience.
