Wyong football manager Stephen Marks said Northern Lakes were battling hard to re-establish themselves in the top grade under the leadership of one of Wyong's favourite sons.
"The Warriors did not enter a first grade team in the 2018 premiership and are in the process of rebuilding under head coach Dean Amos," Marks said.
"However, the Roos showed no mercy, completing 100 per cent of possession sets for the opening quarter of the match and repelling everything the northern neighbours offered in attack."
Right centre Luke Dolbel scored four tries, while goal-kicker Josh Mantellato finished with a personal haul of 24 points.
"Best on ground was powerhouse prop Jake Lewis who ripped the heart out of the Warriors' defence," Marks said.
"The result did not come without a down side for the green and gold with several players under an injury cloud for Sunday's big clash with Kincumber at Mackillop Oval."
