Take a tour of the school grounds during school hours to see how teachers and students interact. Speak to the principal to get an insight to the schools values and discuss any questions you may have.
Ask for a copy of the schools prospectus, look at the schools website and you can also visit the My School website (myschool.edu.au) to see information about schools across the country and how students are performing academically.
Above all, involve your children in the decision making process. They will be the ones at the school and need to be happy and well adjusted to make the most of their future education.
Once you have made a decision, get your enrolment application in nice and early.
