About 3 hectares of bushland will be targeted at the corner of the Pacific Highway and Colongra Bay Road.
The burn is expected to start at about 10am, and be completed by 6pm.
If weather conditions are unsuitable on Saturday, the burn may be postponed until Sunday, May 12.
"There may be some smoke and fire activity visible from local roadways during and after the hazard reduction operation," Matt Horwood, the NSW Rural Fire Service's district assistant for the Central Coast, said.
"Motorists in this area should slow down and take care if driving through smoke, including keeping windows up and turning their headlights on.
"Residents in this area should take the appropriate precautions including keeping doors and windows closed, remove washing from clothes lines and ensure any pets are in a protected area. Residents may also experience discoloured water due to fire fighters extracting water from the water mains during the hazard reduction operation."
Ongoing patrols of the burn will be conducted as required.
