RE-ELECTED Lake Macquarie MP Greg Piper said the electorate was well placed to receive more "good things" from Premier Gladys Berejiklian and her government.

The Independent member was returned by voters for a fourth term at Saturday's state election.
It was a comprehensive victory.
At the time of going to press, and with the final votes still to be counted, Mr Piper had secured 73.4 per cent of the two party-preferred vote.
"This was obviously a very decisive victory, but such victories aren't born out of a month-long election campaign and they're not won by me acting alone," Mr Piper said on Monday.
That is going to translate into some very good things for Lake Macquarie, and also the broader Hunter region.

"They're won over many years of standing up and fighting for what our community needs, wants and deserves."
Mr Piper said the new Coalition government would want to work "very closely with us".
"That is going to translate into some very good things for Lake Macquarie, and also the broader Hunter region," he said.
"I've said this many times before, but an Independent is never in opposition and has the capacity to work with any government - Labor or Liberal - and represent the interests of the community above everything else.
"We now know that we'll be working with Premier Berejiklian and her government for another four years, and I think that's a good thing because she already knows what this community wants and she knows what we're pushing for."
Mr Piper said the Premier had already delivered on many of the things the electorate had been asking for.
"Things like two new police stations, Service NSW at Toronto, and funding to widen Cary Street at Toronto. We're now in a position that's better than ever before," he said.
Mr Piper has already had discussions with Ms Berejiklian about local issues.
"Among them is the transport interchange at Glendale, health services in the Morisset area including palliative care, more police at Morisset and the 24/7 operation of the station, job creation, proper planning for the main road between Morisset and Glendale, the upgrade of Hillsborough Road and the need for better parking facilities at Morisset and Fassifern stations."
"And then there's the smaller local projects like cycleways, jetties and improved sporting grounds and cultural facilities.
"As a community, we've all worked hard to get to this point, but I'm confident we've got some very busy but very productive years ahead of us in Lake Macquarie."
