"After a strong pre-season our performance against Jaffas wasn't up to the standard we've set," Webb said.
"We were not disciplined enough dealing with corners or crosses from wide areas resulting in three away goals in the first half."
Macquarie changed its formation in the second stanza and began to apply attacking pressure.
Webb said it culminated in a great team goal by Morgan Okeno who came on as a substitute in the 70th minute.
"We continued to put pressure on the Lambton defence but unfortunately we conceded again from wide areas when we should do better."
Macquarie will host Broadmeadow Magic at Macquarie Field this Saturday at 7.30pm.
In the New-FM Northern League One, Toronto-Awaba Stags lost 4-2 to Singleton. The Stags will host South Cardiff at Lyall Peacock Field this Sunday at 2.45pm.
