A WANGI Wangi women is hoping to recover documents and personal treasures that had been stashed inside a chest of drawers that was inadvertently taken to Awaba Waste Management Facility earlier this month.

Sonja Dyke-Clark, the proprietor of Wangi Hardware, said the chest of drawers had belonged to her late father, Frederick Dyke.
The reddish-brown furniture item had been taken to the tip on February 6 or 7, she said.
“Inside the drawers there had been some important documents such as my father’s birth certificate, and passport, as well as some personal items such as jewellery and watches and greeting cards,” Ms Dyke-Clark said.
She’s hoping that somebody may have salvaged the drawers and retained their contents.
