About 6pm on Saturday, December 29, emergency services were called to a music festival in Glenworth Valley after reports a man was unconscious.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended and located a 22-year-old man who was unconscious, and being treated by medical staff at the venue.
The man could not be revived and subsequently died.
He has now been identified as Joshua Tam, formerly of Brisbane.
Investigators have been preparing a report for the information of the Coroner who will determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
As part of the investigation police are appealing for anyone who was with Joshua Tam leading up to, or during, the festival to come forward.
In particular, police would like to speak to another patron, specifically a woman who was with Mr Tam when medical staff first responded to his collapse.
The woman who is believed to have been an acquaintance of Mr Tam spoke briefly to the medical staff and left without leaving her details.
Anyone with information about Mr Tam’s movements prior to his death is urged to come forward and contact police.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000.
