Five Avondale School HSC students achieve Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) scores of 90-plus

FIVE year 12 students from Avondale School, in Cooranbong, have achieved Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) scores of over 90.  

They are Shrey Somaiya 96.8, Sophie-Lee Johnson 94.45, Cody Bailey 94.25, Jared Crooks 90, and twins Tahlia and Brianna Knight with 92.4 and 87, respectively. 

Avondale School ranked 189 overall (of all schools) in NSW, and achieved 20 band-6 results, and 85 in band-5. Sophie-Lee achieved four band-6 and one band-5, and Shrey received four band-6 and two band-5. 

Principal Dr David McClintock said it was an outstanding result.

"Avondale School would like to congratulate the 2018 HSC cohort,” he said.

“A wonderful group of students who did us proud on both their results and their contribution to the school. Congratulations go to our hard-working students, dedicated teachers and supportive parents."
