The church has staged a nativity play for several years, but this year they’ve taken on a new script, and a much larger cast and production.
On December 11, 12 and 13 local teachers will be turned into servants, builders will become soldiers, ordinary men will be transformed into wise men, Mary and Joseph will be played by two sets of actors, and King Herod will show his true colours.
It’s a free show, and patrons will be escorted through the church grounds for each session of the live drama.
There will also be night markets with food stalls, a petting farm, face painting, an amusement ride, and a live band.
The first group will be guided through the Bethlehem scenes at 6pm on Tuesday, December 11, and the last group for 2018 will step into Nazareth at 8.20pm on Thursday, December 13. The church is at 2 Gimberts Road, Morisset.
