Lake Macquarie City Council is urging locals to take their picnic blankets, chairs and their best singing voices to the event.
Council’s cultural services manager, Jacqui Hemsley, said Lake Mac Carols attracted thousands of residents and visitors for a family-friendly day of Christmas cheer.
“This year’s event will feature kids’ activities throughout the afternoon, live entertainment from local performers and an evening concert performed by award-winning artists, Thirsty Merc and Damien Leith, a special appearance by Santa, and a spectacular fireworks display to close the event,” Ms Hemsley said.
“The event will also feature our festive food truck alley, with tasty treats from a variety of your favourite food trucks available from noon.
“Lake Mac Carols by Candlelight is always a popular evening out for the community of Lake Macquarie. I encourage you to come down early to make sure you get the best seats in the house.”
Lake Mac Carols was an accessible and inclusive event for all locals, she said.
The ‘Including You’ tent will be on-site providing a space for people with disabilities, their families and carers, and anyone with mobility challenges.
