FIVE Macquarie Scorpions rugby league players – and not three, as previously reported – completed the rare double of winning two premiership titles in the space of 10 days. Blake Chaffey, Tye Alchin, Aaron Simon, Adam Swadling and Jayden Rosburg were part of Macquarie’s reserve grade-winning grand-final team. They backed up to help the Newcastle All Blacks (NAB) team to win the Koori Cup a week later.
