The presentation, from 3pm to 4.30pm at The Swansea Centre, follows a seminar at the same venue by former CSIRO principal research scientist Dr Dennys Angrove on climate change science and sea-level rise implications on Wednesday.

Lake Macquarie City Council’s acting sustainability manager Chris Harle said both free presentations provided valuable opportunities for locals to learn about climate change science from experts.

“We are in the process of adaptation planning in Pelican, Blacksmiths and Swansea to address potential hazards and future flood risks, so this is a topic with very real and present relevance,” Ms Harle said.
