POLICE continue to investigate after a Central Coast crash that required two women to be taken to hospital suffering head injuries.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Cooranga and Cadonia roads at Wyongah, south of Gorokan, about 6.30pm on Monday after reports of a single-vehicle crash.
“Police have been told the Holden Commodore station wagon was travelling south on Cooranga Road when it left with roadway and hit a tree,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.
Two women, a 23-year-old driver and a 35-year-old passenger, were trapped in the wreckage for a short time.
The driver was taken to Royal North Shore hospital with head injuries while the 35-year-old was flown to Westmead Hospital.
She was suffering critical head injuries.
The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit is assisting Tuggerah Lakes police district with their inquiries into the incident.
