TWO teenagers who became trapped in a cave due to rising, rough seas have been rescued at the notorious Snapper Point, near Frazer Park, Surf Life Saving NSW say.

The male and female had been part of a larger group of seven teenagers who had been jumping from rocks into the water when conditions changed suddenly on Saturday.
The pair became trapped in the cave, sparking a multi-agency rescue emergency with police, Volunteer Rescue and the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter also responding.
Surf Life Saving NSW said a support jetski from the Central Coast managed to drop lifesaver Brianna Coyte at the entrance of the cave. She then swam into the cave and helped the teenagers out separately.
She was pretty scared of going back into the water.
Ms Coyte, a member of Toowoon Bay SLSC, said the conditions were very challenging and the young female patient was in shock when she reached her.
“She was pretty scared of going back into the water, so I made a joke about being her Uber driver for the day and managed to get her to put on a lifejacket,” Ms Coyte said.
“She was eventually OK to swim out and it all went fine. They were part of a group of seven who had been jumping from the rocks when the conditions changed.”
The beautiful Frazer Park area has become notorious for rock fishing deaths.
