Federal government funding is available on a dollar-for-dollar basis through the Shortland Stronger Communities Program.
But time is running out.
Community organisations must submit their expression of interest for funding by Friday, September 21.
Grants of between $2500 and $20,000 are available for small capital projects which improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and strength of the local community.
Each electorate has total funding of up to $150,000 that can be allocated to successful applications. A maximum of 20 projects will be funded in each electorate.
Submitted projects must be completed by June 30, 2019.
Applicants should read the program guidelines before they apply.
To express your interest in applying for a grant, fill in the online expression of interest form and attach any mandatory attachments and email it to pat.conroy.mp@aph.gov.au no later than 5pm on September 21.
