Wyong Musical Theatre Company will bring its production to the stage of The Wyong Grove Theatre from Friday, September 28.
There will be 10 performances, finishing with a 1pm matinee on Sunday, October 7.
WMTC publicist Amanda Daniel said the musical was known as “the happiest show on earth”.
“It’s a delightful, highly entertaining fun musical-comedy packed full of toe-tapping dance numbers, engaging songs, artful tricks and both witty and unashamedly corny laughs,” Ms Daniel said.
The show made a highly anticipated return to London’s West End in July, she said.
“That followed the 1986 revival which was brilliantly updated by Stephen Fry to win three Tony awards.”

The musical is set in England in the 1930s.
Cockney pickpocket Bill Snibson (played by Freddy Hellier), is discovered by the family solicitor Parchester (Brett Perkins) to be the long lost heir to the Earl of Hareford.
“But, of course, there is a catch,” Ms Daniel said.
“To claim the title and the money, Bill needs to change and fit into his new aristocratic family led by Maria, Duchess of Dene (Jane Sackman).
“This includes ditching his cockney, childhood sweetheart Sally Smith (Jess Calvert-Pennings), the love of his life, in favour of Lady Jacquie Carston (Maddie Richards) who is only attracted to his title and his money.”
Bill is left with a heart-wrenching decision, torn between love and duty.
The WMTC production is directed by Peter Hellier, with musical direction by Michael Partridge, and choreography by Karen Calvert.
“The music will transport you to a world of joy, with such delightful, memorable songs such as Lambeth Walk, Leaning on a Lamppost, Me and My Girl, and The Sun has got its Hat On that will have you toe-tapping along,” Ms Daniel said.
“We dare you not to laugh!”
The Wyong Grove Theatre is at the former Wyong Grove Public School, in North Road.
Performances are at 7.30pm, with 1pm matinees on Saturdays and Sundays.
Opening night is Friday, September 28.
