Finagal Bay are last on the competition ladder, but they held Dora Creek to 12-all at halftime.
Dora Creek jumped out to 12-nil lead through tries to Justin Budahazy and Dylan Ewing. But Fingal Bay then erased that deficit with two tries of their own.
Dora Creek Swampies secretary Josh Lyden said Fingal Bay was buoyed by their two tries, and ran out with plenty of intent in the second stanza.
“It was a real arm wrestle in the second half,” Lyden said.
“Then Swampies’ Israel Smith scored to make it 18-12. Sam Agalidis scored the final try to put the result beyond doubt.”
Lock Dean Ferris played the entire 80 minutes and was the stand out.
Dora Creek will host Belmont South this Saturday at Neville Thompson Oval – their last home game before the semi-finals.
