Mayor Jane Smith, who will attend the memorial service, said that for those whose fathers have died, Father’s Day can be a day of mixed emotions.
“This will be an opportunity for us all to celebrate and reflect on the wonderful memories of dads, grandpas, uncles and any other father figures that have touched our lives and have passed on.”
Father's Day is a day to recognise and thank our fathers and grandfathers for the innumerable contributions they have made to our lives – the advice, dad jokes, stories, encouragement and love, the mayor said.
“Please join us to celebrate and give thanks for the memories and love of our dads, and make it a special day to remember.”
Council’s Father’s Day service will be held on Saturday, September 1, from 11am, at Noraville Cemetery and Memorial Gardens. Light refreshments will be served after the service.
RSVP by Monday, August 27, by contacting council's bereavement team on 4350 5108 or email cemeteries@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au.
