SYDNEY Sixers’ stars Daniel Hughes and Lauren Cheatle will take part in a free and fun afternoon of cricket games for children at Toronto on Tuesday.

The ‘Come and Try’ event, at Ron Hill Oval, is being presented by Cricket NSW and Cricket Southern Lakes.
It’s open to all local school-aged children – whether they currently play cricket or not – and will be held from 3.30pm to 5pm.
Cricket NSW’s development manager for Lake Macquarie, Tim Cox, said the afternoon would primarily be about having fun.
“The day is open to all school-aged children – whether they play cricket now, are thinking about playing this season, of if they just want to come along and meet Daniel and Lauren,” Mr Cox said.
The children will be invited to take part in a series of fun activities to help develop their cricket skills, as well as sample some of the modified versions of cricket now available to juniors.
“There will also be the chance to get some autographs and maybe even a few give-aways, as well,” Mr Cox said.
There is no requirement to register for the ‘Come and Try’ event. Children are welcome to simply turn up.
Hughes, 29, is one of Australian cricket’s rising stars.
The NSW Sheffield Shield batsman made an impression in Big Bash cricket last season with his dynamic left-handed stroke play for the Sydney Sixers.
Cheatle, 19, is a left-arm quick who hails from Bowral, the home town of the late Sir Donald Bradman.
She won selection on the Australia A women's tour to Dubai in 2015, before becoming the youngest woman to ever be included in the NSW squad.
Like Australian star Ellyse Perry, Cheatle is talented across multiple sports - playing indoor cricket as well as representative netball.
Cheatle made her debut for Australia in 2016, aged 17.
On Wednesday, Hughes and Cheatle will oversee the Woolworths Cricket Blast Schools Cup tournament at Auston Oval, Morisset.
