On Friday, August 31, the Rotary club will host the inaugural ‘Hit 4 Mental Health’ golf day at Morisset Country Club.
Morisset Rotary’s Craig Johnson said he encouraged local golfers – and non-players – to get involved and help make a difference for the town.
“Morisset Rotary is passionate about the health and wellbeing of young people in our community,” Mr Johnson said.

“The huge increase in the incidence of reporting of adolescent mental health in our immediate area is not only alarming but totally unacceptable.

“We are determined to make a difference. It is our intention to run this golf event on an annual basis to raise in excess of $30,000 per annum.”
Rotary, in partnership with Morisset High School, will ensure funds raised at the golf day directly benefit local students through the delivery of proactive, proven support measures, Mr Johnson said.
Prizes including a $10,000 SeDoo and $10,000 travel voucher will be up for grabs. An auction of prizes will also be held at lunch after the golf.
