A man faced court on Sunday charged over the malicious damage of a vehicle and the break-in of a home at Lake Haven.

About 8.40pm on Saturday, the male driver of a Toyota Echo parked at a fast food outlet in Lake Haven when he and four female passengers were allegedly approached by a man armed with a knife and threatened.
The man jumped on the bonnet before kicking the windscreen causing it to smash, police said.
The man fled and police were notified.
Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District responded.
A short time later, the garage of a home on Courigal Drive was allegedly broken into and a Holden Commodore stolen.
Police attended and located the vehicle abandoned nearby before establishing a perimeter.
Despite a search of the area which included the assistance of the Police Dog Unit, the man was not located.
Following inquiries, officers attended a home on Phyllis Street, at Kanwal, about 1.30am on Sunday and arrested an 18-year-old man.
He was taken to Wyong police station and charged with being armed with intent commit indictable offence; destroy or damage property; stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm; enter dwelling with intent (steal), take and drive conveyance without consent of owner; and an outstanding warrant.
The man appeared at Wyong Local Court and was bail refused to appear at the same court this week.
Inquiries are continuing and further charges are anticipated, police said.
