Competition was held over four days, from Saturday, with hundreds of competitors and their support crews camping at the showground.
Vice-president of Pony Club NSW, Julie Morgan, said feedback on the venue and the event had been unanimous and positive.
“We’ve received nothing but thanks and praise from everyone who took part,’ Ms Morgan said.
“It’s been a very successful championship, with good numbers, good sportmanship displayed by the kids, and no injuries.”
Visitors appreciated the size of the ring and the quality of the surface, she said.
Competitors from the host area, Zone 24, which includes Cooranbong, Toronto and Watagan, performed well, Ms Morgan said.
“Among the best results for Zone 24 was Lucy Tazawa from Tall Timbers Pony Club who was reserve champion in the under-13s equitation,” she said.
The event attracted 170 showjumpers aged 11 to 25, and it was the first time that Morisset had hosted a state pony club championship in more than a decade.
