Walker scored with a header in the 21st minute off Harry Lane’s cross, and with a strike in the 76th.
It was the prolific striker’s 10th goal from 12 outings this season.
His brace of goals follows doubles recorded against Valentine, Newcastle Jets Youth and Hamilton Olympic earlier this season.
Paul Sichalwe capped the win over Charlestown with a volley hit in the 82nd minute.
The victory reverses the result of the Round 3 fixture when Charlestown defeated Lake Macquarie 1-nil at Macquarie Field.
The result left Charlestown on 19 points and with four losses in their past five league games. Lake Macquarie moved to 12 points and 10th place on the 11-team ladder.
Lake Macquarie will host Adamstown Rosebud at Macquarie Field this Sunday, July 1, at 2.30pm. Adamstown is on 15 points.
