The burn is scheduled for a five-hectare parcel of land behind homes on Macquarie Street, Morisset.
It is scheduled to start at 10am and is expected to continue until about 6pm.
On Saturday, May 26, the RFS will target 14 hectares of bushland off Victoria, Barton and Bayton streets, and Dyson Drive, at Norah Head.
That hazard reduction burn is scheduled to start at 10am and continue until about 8pm.
And this Sunday, a hazard reduction burn will be held over 46 hectares of land at the rear of properties off Simmons Close, Wyee Point.
That burn will run from 10am to 8pm.
“There may be some smoke and fire activity visible from local roadways during and after the hazard reduction operations,” Stuart O'Keefe, the RFS’s district assistant for the Central Coast said.
“Motorists in these areas should slow down and take care if driving through smoke, including keeping windows up and turning their headlights on.
“Residents in these areas should take the appropriate precautions including keeping doors and windows closed, remove washing from clothes lines and ensure any pets are in a protected area. Residents may also experience discoloured water due to fire fighters extracting water from the water mains during the hazard reduction operations.”
